A Recipe for Your Wedding or Function's Success

To describe the "The Party Band" would be like the mixture to your favourite recipe.

Ingredients:

1) Two professional entertainers fully equipped and ready to work hard to provide a party atmosphere.

2) A venue with friendly staff, dance floor, licensed bar and a stage area with one 10 Amp power point.

3) An audience out for a good time of any age up to about 65 years old.

Method:

1) Set the entertainers up with their music backing, guitars and equipment on the stage in the venue described above.

2) Open the doors and invite in the audience to a friendly-staffed atmosphere.

3) Mix the music from The Eagles with Eric Clapton and Bob Segar and then add some Bachelor Girl, Nelly Furtado, Harry Connick Jnr. and Neil Diamond.

4) Throw in some Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Pearl Jam, Matchbox 20, Buddy Holly & the Crickets, Ritchie Valens and Wheatus.

5) Stir it with Lee Kernaghan, Lonestar, Brooks & Dunn, Billy Joel, Shania Twain, Charlie Rich, John Denver and Garth Brooks.

6) Let it simmer to the sounds of Alicia Bridges, Anastacia, Britney Spears and Bon Jovi whilst shaking in some INXS, CCR, K.C. & The Sunshine Band and Dragon.

7) Bring it to the boil with Cold Chisel, Grease, Daddy Cool, Madonna and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

8) Now add some smoothness to the sound with Inner Circle, Abba, Vanessa Amorosi, The Commitments, UB40, Madison Avenue, Jewel, Meredith Brooks, Savage Garden, John Cougar, and not forgetting Bryan Adams.

9) Leave mix bubbling and boiling along for up to four hours, keeping the licensed bar open of course.

Result:

Fantastic and fun nights where comments like "Thanks for a great night", "I'll be back next time", "Put me on your mail out list please" and "I had an unreal time tonight" are the normal ones received.

When asked about the music, "For the last ten years or more we've been trying to play the songs people want to hear and in fact are requesting from us at each gig. Khe Sahn is the most requested song we get by far. At just about every gig it is asked for at least once," stated Brian.

As regulars of the Professional Entertainment circuit around Australia, Brian Lord and his partners are "The Party Band" Duo based in Echuca, Victoria.
